She has her first cold

and I gave it to her.

    Isn't she close to the six month mark?

    If so, that's about the time that little ones start to create their own immune system. Before that, it's the immune system that was given to them via mommy.

    It's natural for them to start getting sniffles, colds, etc. at that age.

    In fact, in transfusion medicine if a baby requires a transfusion, we crossmatch against the mom's blood and not the baby's. Because the baby won't have any antibodies in their serum.

    Yes, you might have had a cold that spread to Sarina, but...you can't stop that and you can't stop her from getting colds. It's just part of building up her immune system.

  3. Don't worry girl, once she's in day school and K to 12 she'll be giving you more diseases than the CDC can record.

    My grandson, at one, has given me three colds, and I've only returned one.
