Sarina's two front teeth are spaced widely apart so far, which makes me think back to my own youth, in which-- I am not kidding-- my parents had our Christmas card pictures retouched to erase some of my hideously gapped buck teeth. And this was before Photoshop, when you actually had to pay a photo lab to fix things with colored pencils or somesuch.
Ahhh, braces. I would have been such a freak without you.
Other people save for college when their kids are born. We're saving up for the orthodontist.

LOL! When Finn's front teeth came in, they were gaped (they've since grown together with the addition of a million other teeth.) Dan's grandma, no joke, said to me "Oh don't worry, honey. A lot of people have bad teeth." Wha? Yikes! Perfect thing to say to the new nervous mother...
ReplyDeleteLOL! Gotta love tactful grandmas. ;)
ReplyDeleteAnthony's awesome sister is a dentist, and she's assured us that it's actually a good thing to have baby teeth that are spaced apart. It's when they're too crowded that you run into problems.
I remember in high school (as a freshman) when one of my teachers asked me "When did you get your braces off?" I had to explain that I'd never had braces (and still never have).
ReplyDeleteIf not for these stupid wisdom teeth, my guess is that I'd probably have perfectly aligned teeth.
My teeth problems came when I "killed" one of my baby teeth and it wouldn't fall out on it's own, so the adult teeth tried to come in around it. They finally had to pull it.
